Shah Janah's Tear: I wanted to experiment with refractions through droplets. Taj Mahal, the timeless monument built by Shah Jahan for his wife, Mumtaz—serves as both the subject and the inspiration for this piece. What intrigued me most was the tragic irony of Shah Jahan’s later years, when he was imprisoned by his son with only a small, distant view of the Taj Mahal. This theme—Shah Jahan’s Tear—felt poignant and compelling for this exploration. I used MidJourney v6.1 (SREF: 608136173) for the initial generations. Refraction should naturally invert the view, but interestingly the model couldn't factor that in. I used Photoshop to fix that and then play around with the lighting a bit. I’m pretty stoked with the final result: A hauntingly beautiful depiction of loss, love, and longing, encapsulated in a single drop.

/SHAH JAHAN's Tear

I wanted to experiment with refractions through droplets, so I used Midjourney v6.1 for the initial creation (SREF: 608136173). Interestingly, the image of the Taj Mahal in the final output wasn't upside down as expected, so I used Photoshop to edit and correct it.
